What's Happening!

Wise Woman of the month

Jane Monckton-Smith, author of "In Control@ Dangerous relationships and how they end in murder", is Wise Women's woman of the month for December.

We were delighted in 2025 to organise a conference with Jane and Sarah Ellis, to generate interest in the Homicide Timeline. Jane works " ... with professionals in reviewing homicides and training . [She] also work with families bereaved through homicide to help them with criminal justice processes".

We believe Jane's work is essential if we are to not only hold perpetrators to account, but also to prevent more extremely violence against women.

Jane is one of those women that gives us all hope and direction.

Wise Women are honoured to have had a song written for us, for our 30th Anniversary,  by the wonderful Esther Sparks.

This song, "Her Voice", encapsulates the aim of Wise Women beautifully, emphasising the connections between women and their experiences.
