Violence against  women

In 2022 / 23

​

  • 14,834 sexual crimes were recorded by Police Scotland.

​​

  • Rape and attempted rape accounted for 17% of recorded sexual crimes.

​​

  • There were 3,830 cyber sexual crimes recorded by Police Scotland.

​

  • Of the women who took part in our safety survey, 42% avoided going out in areas of Glsgow after dark.
