Volunteering with Wise Women

Volunteering with Wise Women offers a meaningful opportunity for women to build confidence, develop new skills, and contribute to a supportive, trauma-informed community. As a Women’s Safety Advocate, volunteers are welcomed into an environment that prioritises wellbeing, personal development, and empowerment.

Each volunteer begins with an informal meeting to explore their interests, goals, and how Wise Women can support their journey. From there, volunteers can engage in training, shadow staff, assist with workshops, and even lead their own projects—all at a pace that suits them.

Throughout the experience, volunteers receive ongoing support including mentorship, group supervision, and practical assistance such as income maximisation and digital safety guidance. Volunteers are encouraged to make informed choices and are never pressured to take on more than they feel ready for.

At the end of their time with Wise Women, volunteers receive a certificate recognising their contribution and are signposted to explore future opportunities. Whether you're looking to grow personally, professionally, or connect with others, Wise Women provides a safe and empowering space to do so.
